Psycho-Pass (サイコパス) es un anime Cyberpunk, donde el desarrollo tecnologico ha hecho posible medir de forma instantánea el estado mental de una persona, y la probabilidad de que dicha persona vaya a cometer delitos. Esa medida se llama Psycho-Pass y se expresa mediante el “Coeficiente de Criminalidad”, cuando este es demasiado alta los individuos son perseguidos y detenidos -usando fuerza letal si es necesario- inclusive antes de que cometan algún crimen… Esta tarea es realizada por un equipo especial de delincuentes en potencia llamado Ejecutores, que son supervisados por oficiales de la policía conocida como Inspectores. Los inspectores deben asegurarse de que los ejecutores en ejercicio cumplan con sus funciones dentro de los límites de la ley. Ambos emplean armas especiales llamadas “Dominators” que están diseñados para disparar sólo en aquellos con un coeficiente de crimen mayor de lo normal. Le da un aire muy parecido a Ghost in the Shell, aunque tiene su estilo propio, a diferencia de Ghost in the Shell donde se cuestionaba si la maquina podía tener emociones, aquí el centro argumental es si la naturaleza del hombre puede ser medida o no…
